Hoverboard Only Works When Plugged In – – Why and How to fix
If your hoverboard only comes on when it is plugged the problem is that the hoverboard has a bad battery. You can solve the problem by replacing the battery. To replace a hoverboard’s battery follow these simple steps . . .
Step 1. Turn the hoverboard off.
Step 2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the side of the hoverboard with the battery( Some screws are different from the others so don’t mix them up).
Step 3. Carefully take off the hoverboard’s cover because there are wires connected to it.
Step 4. You will see the hoverboard’s battery under a cage. Use your Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws holding the cage in place.
Step 5. Take the cage off and set it aside.
Step 6. Disconnect the wire that is holding the battery in place and then take the battery out.
Step 7. Put a new battery in the place of the old battery and reconnect the wires that you disconnected from the old battery.
Step 8. Put the battery cage over the new battery and then put the screws back in to hold it in place.
Step 9. Reconnect the wires that you disconnected from the hoverboard’s cover.
Step10. Put the screws that you removed before back in their places.
Step 11. Turn the hoverboard on and check if it is working like it is supposed to.
