Step 1. The first thing you will need to do is to find the side with the charging port and then remove the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Note: The screws at the top and the bottom of that side of the hoverboard are slightly different. So don’t mix them up with the screws in the middle.

Step 2. Take off the top of that side of the hoverboard but don’t pull it off violently because there are wires connected to the hoverboard’s cover.

Step 3. When you see the wires connected to the charging port, find the other end of the wires and disconnect them from the main board by finding a small flap at the end of the wires and pushing it then pulling the wires out.

Step 4. At the top part of the wires, there might be some glue on the small nut holding the charging port in place, remove that and then unscrew the small nut securing the charging port.

Step 5. Bring out the nut from the other end of the wires and then bring the spoilt charging port out.

Step 6. Put the new charging port through the charging port hole sliding the bottom side through first.

Step 7. The same old nut can be used to hold the charging port in place.Slide the nut through the bottom side of the wires and screw it to the charging port.

Step 8. Reconnect the bottom part of the wires to the main board and when you hear a click you know it is inside.

Step 9. Put the cover back on the hoverboard and put the screws back into their places.

Step 10. Plug the hoverboard and check if the charging port works .
